Pune Eat Outs has been the first “Friend of the Girl” at Tasha & Girl. We launched in 2017 on PEO and we got a launchpad that no other forum in the entire country could ever have afforded us. We were welcomed, feted, loved, and accepted by the PEOkars with such alacrity that it (pleasantly) shocked & surprised us. We shall forever be indebted to PEO for offering us this opportunity to reach out to such a perfectly curated, highly qualified focus group of food-lovers from Pune that it is unmatched by absolutely anyone else online even today, 12 years since it launched on Orkut.
But of course, before we launched our (now much-loved) brand in 2017, we have been on PEO for long ourselves as individual foodies. The trouble is that it is impossible to remain “just members of PEO” without becoming friends with Aniruddha and Aditi. It is inevitable that once you are on the platform, praising the last brilliant dessert some chef in Pune hit you with as a surprise, or asking for recommendations for where to spend the New Year’s Eve, or fighting with someone as passionate as you about the best place for Misal, or whining about the slow service at some old Irani place while still raving about the food, whether you like it or not, you end up making friends for life…and the first ones you befriend are the power-couple of PEO: Ani and Aditi. These two rockstars have changed (for the better) the Pune food scene in ways that cannot be described in words.
